Privacy policy

Fount of Creativity is a web design business based in Sydney, Australia. We handle personal information in line with the Australian Privacy Principles in the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth).

What we collect

We only collect information you choose to give us, plus the basic technical data any website receives.

• Contact form: your name and email address, and optionally your website address, your current platform, your monthly traffic and the problems you'd like to solve.
• Free speed check: the web address you enter. We don't ask for your name or email to run a check.
• Emails you send us: whatever you include in your message.
• Technical data: our hosting provider processes your IP address, browser type and the pages you request, so it can deliver the site and protect it from abuse.

We don't use advertising or tracking cookies, and we don't run third-party analytics on this site.

How we use it

• To reply to your enquiry and talk with you about a project.
• To run the speed check you asked for and show you the results.
• To keep the website secure and working properly.

We don't sell your information, and we don't add you to a mailing list unless you ask us to.

Who we share it with

We use a small number of service providers to run the site. They only receive what they need to do their job:

• Cloudflare hosts the website and receives the technical data described above.
• Resend delivers contact form submissions to our inbox by email.
• Google PageSpeed Insights receives the web address you enter in the speed check, so it can test that page.

These providers may store or process data outside Australia, including in the United States. We choose providers that take security seriously, but by using these features you understand your information may be handled overseas.

We may also disclose information if the law requires it.

How long we keep it

We keep enquiries for as long as we need them to respond to you and manage any project we work on together, and to meet our legal and tax obligations. After that we delete them. Speed check addresses aren't stored by us.

Keeping it secure

The site is served over HTTPS, form submissions are sent over an encrypted connection, and access to our inbox is limited to the people who need it.

Your choices

You can ask to see the personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Email discover@fountofcreativity.com and we'll respond within 30 days.

Complaints

If you're concerned about how we've handled your information, please email us first so we can try to put it right. If you're not satisfied with our response, you can contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner.

We'll update this page if the way we handle personal information changes. The date at the top shows when it was last updated.
